Due for a new set of tyres for my 2012 Polo TSI. Any better than the standard ContiPremiumContact2 ... 63000k on these, but two are now due for change. I'll change all 4, but should I consider any other brand for superior whatever? Thoughts?

I'd go RE002's and wait till next month as i suspect Bridgestone will have a spring special buy 3 and get 1 free.Originally posted by vw74 View PostDue for a new set of tyres for my 2012 Polo TSI. If you are happy with them and can afford their price, i would stick with them, they are a great tyre for the wear, noise (lack of) and performance they provide.
Depending on their price, its almost cheaper to buy a set of new wheels/tyres that someone has taken off when they bought new wheels from new.
doesnt say where you are from but I have a set that I could sell, but its only really worth it if you are in VIC for pickupMy Car(s): 2011 6R TSI Comfortline (Pepper Silver),
If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)

I got 70k out of mine on my Forester and they still had 10k left in them. And they weren't spared. Very grippy and the most durable tyre I've ever used.Originally posted by LD_mart View PostBridgestone RE002 will easily out perform any tyre in the Dry & Wet but will only last 40-50k depending on how you drive.Nov '15 Polo 81TSI manual white

By all means use a 215/45 but also understand it's a significantly larger overall diameter tyre of at least 20mm. Most tyre brands vary slightly but in general that's the difference over the 215/40.Originally posted by Rhtside View PostAnyone got an option changing from a 215x40x17 to a 215x45x17
215/40 = 603.8mm

Cannot recommend the RE002 from Bridgestone enough, extremely good handling in the dry, good handling in the wet, great in corners and pretty good wear rating.Originally posted by Rhtside View PostThanks for that info. Anyone got an opinion on the dunlop sp sport maxx verses bridgestone adrenaline re002?
