Wiper blades not cleaning properly

As per the title, the driver side wiper isn't wiping the water away in certain spots on the down sweep. They are genuine wipers and the glass is clean. The passenger side wiper has no such problems. Anyone else have similar problems, and how did you fix it?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but have you tried cleaning the wiper blades themselves? Most likely cause of those symptoms are twigs/leaves/rocks/grass/etc. that are caught between the wiper blade and the glass.

Yeah I gave them a clean. There was a lot of black on the rag.

Buy a new set Ours were like that from new and we put a new set on after 2 years and no more trouble $75 at stealers


They chattered and didn't clean properly. New ones smooth as.

Try give them a really thorough clean like Alex said, do the other one at the same time.
