It's the DSG but only in the "Drive" program. In sports it feels like the car found 20kw locked away in a cupboard. The problem with sports is it won't let go of a gear and it just becomes annoying.

This is where the new driver profile selector in the >GTI comes in awesome. This way I can tune it so that the drive program has a lot of throttle response. That way it will continue to downshift to the highest gear possible for fuel economy but just tap the go pedal and it kicks back 2 gears.

This should have read DNA Tuning rather than CC (although they may do one as well).

Lol the car is definitely punchy, I've come over from a bmw 318is and that sets the standard for sluggishness.

Ah cool thanks, I should have a look at the Custom Code....it seems promising

Yes I believe so which helps you out nicely, plus John is great to deal with. By all means check any of the Euro based tuners out tho, I'd expect most will do something for the 1.2. Check out Lucas R's R build thread for feedback on DNA.

Pretty sure APR offer around 100kw for the 1.2 too. Probably more expensive though

Didn't think they did because the Yanks don't get the Polo, although international demand must have been sufficient for a tune for the 1.4 in the GTI (although they'd done one for this engine in 118 form from the Golf so guessing it was easier to achieve).
