  • Blown headilghts

4 in two years. All passenger side. Last one though appears to be a fuse.

And isn't the fuse story funny!

Have downloaded a pic of the fuse and a list of which one protects what.
I emailed the dealer in regards to a fuse id card but haven't heard anything yet.

So, anyone else blowing globes? Approx every 25,000km.

Oh another thing. I've just clocked 101,000kms and my timing chain/belt thingy needs changing soon. Half of the amount of kays the europeans have to do. Looks like someone plucked a number instead of using stats.
Dealer wants ~1600 to do it with a service and water pump. My mechanic only wants ~1200.

Just venting I spose but comments welcome.

Mate of mine on another forum has blown a similar amount in 12 months. I keep forgetting to tell him they might be warranty.

    I think his are evenly spread L & R.

AUS gets shorten time (down from 180k IIRC) because we are considered a dusty environment. (which we are compared to Europe - about 1.8x the dust loading).

Suggest you look at alternatives to dealer if price is an issue

All those I've spoken to say it's heat. The book says 210,000km.
My mech will be doing it.

Also with the lights, there is no alarm if you blow a headlight but the alarm goes of if you do a tail light.

      Thanks.
