The one with the most relevant info for people is inside the passenger door sill.

If you want more info about what features the car is built with from factory, you can look at the build sticker that is in the boot. (77tsi models have it on the spare wheel tool kit) It has many 3 digit combinations which you can look up explaining what the feature is.

It's probably not what your after but I thought I would put it out there lol.

My 77 TSi has it on the body in front of the spare wheel. The same info should be on the inside cover of your service book.
