Rear Muffler Delete vs Custom Exhaust

Yet another nooby thread, thought you guys might know the answer to this question.
Rear muffler delete vs custom exhaust... I was quoted approximately $320 for a custom exhaust for my 77tsi. Question is, should I do the rear muffler delete for around 100, or put in the extra cash for the custom exhaust? What do you think will be better suited? Again sorry if this question has been answered or I'm spamming too much, just a hard decision on my part.

For $320, you would only be getting a crush bent exhaust from the flex pipe back. Probably more likely to lose performance than gain. I'd just do the muffler delete.
