I have done the GTI interior and steering wheel on my 77TSI and I can definitely recommend it. The seats are great and the tartan actually looks okay on the standard door cards of the TSI. The steering wheel (I waited and got the manual one so no paddles that you cannot use) was by far the best though!, its a very nice addition. I will eventually change the chrome piece at the bottom of it from GTI to an R one, as I am not a fan of those people who attempt to make their car something it isn't (like putting M3 badges on a 318i for example), but the seats i cannot help, they are embossed with GTI.My Car(s): 2011 6R TSI Comfortline (Pepper Silver),
If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)

In my opinion you've made a good decision to keep the 77kW TSI. I traded my 12 month old 77kW TSI for a new Polo GTI earlier this year. Sure, the GTI looks awesome and has greater performance, but for my use at least, the TSI offered plenty of poke, still looked really smart and was good value for money. The GTI was significantly more expensive, had a harsher ride on the knackered roads in Christchurch, plus it used 2L of oil in the first 3,000 KMs (and that's with the new CTH engine). I became nervous of what was in store for me with this car, so have learnt an expensive lesson and sold the GTI privately and am now waiting for delivery of a new 103kW Golf Highline, due in about 2 weeks.
