  • What colour plastidip to paint RPF1's

    Hi guys

    I've put a set of silver rpf1's on my polo gti and I've decided to plastidip them but I'm unsure on the colour I painted them..
    Let me know your thoughts I didn't take the silver of silver look so decided to try the blue. Before and after pics

    The car need to be lowered so I'm currently waiting for some eibach springs to arrive from the uk just to drop it an inch

      I think the blue is maybe a little bit too bright but I don't know =S

        Black for sure. Do the badges while you're at it.

          I'd go with a a hyper silver type colour or a high-gloss black. The blue looks (in my opinion) horrid.

            Plastidip on really works well in vibrant colours or black/grey unless you get a thin coat of black over it to tone it down.
            I would go fluoro green or purple otherwise.

            I ended up getting mine painted as plastidip wouldn't work well for the blue.

              Which ever colour you decide. Paint the spokes only. Be different

                I haven't been getting too many likes on Facebook with the blue but I'm not fussed i think I'm either going to go a dark grey everyone is hating on the 'fluro's' on a euro car

                  I had Blaze Green and I quite liked it on my GTI. I did cop a bit for it though.

                    F**k the haters. do what you want... and have you seen my polo?
                    currently rocking plasti dip and now looking into getting them powder coated as the plasti dip is starting to peel around the lip. Removing the tyres before you spray to ensure full coverage will give a better/more solid finish and would solve this problem (did this only for my blue one and is holding better than the rest).

                    and remember, its plasti dip... if you dont like it, peel it off

                    and for reference, my polo;
