  • Tuners/Modifications/Parts

I've been on the lookout for tuning shops/modifiers around the world and I'm either not looking hard enough or they simply don't exist.

I'm looking for somewhere I can get an assortment of parts for the 1.4tsi GTI engine that is of decent quality.

Currently I've only got Forge Motorsports on my list.

    Any other suggestions?

APR and Viezu (I think they may have released their stuff) both are reputable. Guy, from APR, is on the forums and he's from QLD. Their Polo GTI was awesome

Was hoping for something a little more international, hoping for some of the hardware; not just a tune, exhaust, intake etc.

APR is international, and some of the only people who sell an exhaust, intake and intercooler.

Maybe I should be more specific.

I'm wanting to get things such as, and not limited to.
Solid mounts, billet replacements, upgraded coilpacks, bigger injectors, fuels rail, lightweight pullys etc.

Your going to hit a dead end my friend. There may be a couple of mounts that will work but the rest is pointless unless your running a bigger turbo and can find some better internals to coup (which i don't think exists)as the standards are very small. The best your going to get is intake, turbo back, intercooler, tune.
The cost of injectors and coils for the gain is pointless your not going to find anyone in Aus to do it. APR tried and stopped so that's saying something. You can always ring guy and find out for yourself.

The engines are capable of near about 300hp without opening. Not many people have pushed beyond that.
I've called Guy a while back and chatted about the potential of a larger turbo; what I gathered was that the research wasn't worth the cost and return.

Anyway, not a lot of positives and you all seem to be lurking on the subject of "thats impossible" rather than helping.

I'll be on my merry way.

Capable of 300hp. Sounds like you don't need help from a forum. Talk to the guy that managed 300hp from their unopened engine.

No one said it was impossible but if it was doable and worth the coin it would have been done.
but you still need people like apr to get the kit with support and a tune to match.
We would all like to do it but its just not as easy with the polo as it is with some other makes.
And then there's the driveline to think about (more coin)and the can of worms it creates.
At the end of the day the money your laying down could be put towards a better base car with some modes that would be much better.

At the end of the day get a tune and maybe a exhaust and the like to squeeze a little more power out and enjoy the car for what it is.
                  A well priced pocket rocket.
If that's not enough upgrade and save the hassle
