Might help you imagine it better on a Polo than say a Lambo

Would you go for a whole colour change i.e. including door jams? I think that's the only way of doing it properly.

yeah mate, the thing is I'm prbly looking to a partial vinyl - like stripes or certain parts of the car. Trying to find a good design at the moment.

What I don't understand here is how putting what is in effect a giant blue sticker on a car makes it lucky, considering the car is still white. Kinda like a transvestite, it might have shaved and put makeup and a dress on but under all that false covering, it's still a dude....

With one of these cars, surely the engine bay is specifically where you would want all your luck!

Well, I understand what you meant but the best analogy I could think of is say... everybody looks good with certain colour shirt. Some might look ugly when he put on a pink shirt, some may look respectable with it. Not everything is logical - sometimes it's just about impression.

Despite all this, I doubt this is a good subject for discussion!

- side (with letters say 'GTi' ) with the design below

-on the front grille (originally red, i'll make it blue!)

- Lastly, on the side mirros!


Thoughts? Suggestion?

Personally, I reckon go for it. That colour looks amazing and I you get the details just right, it will look horn!

I think so mate. Definitely not looking for a full colour change - budget is kind of limited . . .

I just had an email exchange with Justin from Wrap Starz and he's quoting around $400 for these (you think it's a good price???) - He also said it looks okay so hopefully it'll be fine,

I have no idea if that's a good price. Value for stuff like this is subjective.

If it was me, I'd just shove a few blue hibiscus stickers or blue stick family stickers on the back window. Or do the interioir in blue. Spend the coin getting clear wrap on the parts of the car that will get stone chips (front end & trailing edges of wheels). To me, you gone from a full wrap that would have looked fantastic to something that will probably look ricey.

Have you looked on Alibaba/Aliexpress for graphics/decals?

Yeah well apparently each of the place I've asked will help me 'design' the details so I'm gonna try my best to not have it end up looking ricey. lol

Thing is I've got a few quotes if any of you could shed some lights:

- DSG Signs $390 but they will be using Avery vinyl, not 3M (according to them, Avery is better and more expensive)

- Other places such as Wrap Starz and the Vinyl Wraps Australia are quoting around $440 - they're going to be using 3M.

So.... suggestions? Which would you go with? Avery or 3M?

hi guys..need some suggestions..I'm also thinking gloss black roof..now I have wheels, VW badges, side mirrors and door handles in matte black plasti dipped..

My question is what should I do or people usually do with spoiler? Should I do matte black or gloss black same as roof or just keep it stock silver color?

To answer your question...yes do the spoiler, but in matte. My question to you...why do the roof gloss when you have so many other accents already in matte?

I see this as a mistake made far too often on many cars. Gloss and gloss, matte and matte.

Save some $$ and do a small section of the roof to see how it looks first...if no good then spend up and get it wrapped.
