Just walked out of Barloworld after signing onto a new 2013 Polo 77TSI in Pepper Grey with the Sports and Comfort Packs. $25,800 in the end with additional tinting on the car. Pretty happy with the service I received and the deal Ive gotten. I'm sure I could have waited around for longer but I'm pleased with the purchase.

Picking the new beast up on Wednesday!

Just signed the contract to a Candy White 77tsi manual with sports and comfort packs along with sunroof and custom European plates for 25,786. Plus an additional 12 month warranty on top of the 36 month offer from VW.

Only down side is I wont take the keys until September.

Check the conditions of the extra 1 year warrantee. I got the same thing to and its worth s**t all. For 1 extra year you can claim up to a total of 3000$ in warrantee. A single claim can only be 500$ though which means pretty much anything (throttle body, coilpack/leads, clutches, mechatronics, injectors, cv joints) are excluded because the claim is over 500$. They cover you for very little as well.

Also I hate to name and shame anybody but the camberwell service department I would have to say is the worst in the whole of Victoria (maybe even Australia)

Why you ask? Well on top of them giving me more problems than they fixed when they changed my clutches - and totally screwed up the rest of my DSG, at the 30k service they spilt oil all over the engine and alternator (and it was smoking like a Magna for a week), over filled the oil by an absolute ****load (and were not talking little here were talking 500ml past full!!!)

This meant I had to clean out my whole intake becuase it was flooded with oil from the PCV valve going into the turbo and to top it off in conjunction with the brake flush they decided not to bother using a bucket at all and left all the brake fluid all over the bottom of the engine bay pan which was all conveniently splashed on the underside of my damn car on the drive home...

            Need I say more?

            End rant

Yeah, that's the warranty they're talking about. Sounds like you have had a horrible experience from the lads down there. Just out of curiosity, where did your car after closing off the tie with Camberwell VW?

Only reason I ask is, if the warranty stands for 2 fifths of... I'd rather go elsewhere from the get go.

Cheers for the reply mate, I appreciate it.

That warrantee can be claimed so long as you continue to get your car serviced with the Bayford group (Camberwell, Doncaster, or Epping)

I currently go to Doncaster because when I tell them things (like fill the engine oil up to 3.9L as per the workshop manual) they listen...for now

It's also on the way to work which makes it easier for me.

In a nutshell though to really sum it all up all service people in Australia are shifty lying bastards. Gavs can vouch for this!

when possible do things your self (like brake pads, fluid flush etc) it will save you and you know that the job is done right. I tell you now I almost regret having a warrantee as I would have been doing my own servicing from day one. Thing is it would have cost me when the clutches went and were covered by warrantee - to which point they screwed the rest of the DSG. Your damned if you do, damned if you don't.
