Mate, I know why you want to do it, but on this diesel engine, I HIGHLY reccomend you don't. the 1.6TDI is a very highly strung diesel and if you tune it, you could be in for a real world of pain
Personally, I'm all for tuning up TDi's unless they have a DPF and especially not small TDi's with a DPF since these seem to have more regen issues, even in stock tune - sadly, your car falls into the last category.

This is something I've been considering - I have the CAYC which comes out in 77kw form elsewhere, from my small amount of research. I do have mechanical sympathy - but yes, this is one consideration. Honestly, I think I just want those extra few Nms for sitting on the freeway...

This is something new to me. I've not had a problem with my DPF, probably because I do both long drives, and get it hot. Something to research a little too methinks...
I was considering the CAYB to get the 66kw turned into 81kw for mainly the increased torque, given that the speed increase is only 0.6sec to 100kmph [Reference: www.oettinger.com/en/produkte/katalog/volkswagen/polo/motor-tuning/cayb-po-1600-tdi]. I didn't think the CAYC would work on the Australian delivered TDI given that they quote the 77kw engine as the starting point; I'd be very interested in 295nm of torque! I would have thought that the Oettienger upgrades would be perfectly fine as far as being mechanically sympathetic to the car given that in other countries these upgrades are supported under warranty.
