Good point - I love the feature on most high-end (ie, BMW) cars where looms push the belt towards you. Even the Toyota 86 has manual ones you can pull out to hold the belt in place.

I have the same issue with my car. I don't know whether the bolstering is shaped like my car but instead of putting the seat-belt fully retracted, have you tried leaving it looped on the bolstering of the backrest of the seat? It works for my car but I generally only do it if I've got sore muscles from tennis or something in case the cloth wears more quickly from the seat-belt rubbing on the seat.
