  • GTI Mudflaps??

I know they aren't everyone's taste, but does anyone know if you can get a reasonable set of Mudflaps for a GTI? Front & Rear?

VW says theirs are not for GTI I think, but does anyone have any experience with anything on a GTI?

    Thanks

There are 2 sizes available from the dealership. The shorter ones work with the GTI.

So these part numbers are for the short
      6R0075116 front
      6R0075106 rear

The front says can't be used on an R-Line so I figure that is if the car has bolt on skirts
And the rear says can't be used on GTI, Blue GT(same diffuser as GTI) or R-Line.

Can anyone confirm that's not the case? Or if it's simply that not all mounting holes line up even though it does fit.

I remember seeing a note, on the VW parts system, that they can't be used on the Blue Motion. I assume its because, it causes extra drag, and the Blue Motion is a low drag Eco car

By the way, I have seen a couple of GTI's fitted with OEM mudflaps, so it is possible.

Thanks. I think a bluemotion would have a side skirt too(even though I don't think it's sold locally)

I might look into ordering some.

Dealership will charge you about $75 for front and $75 for rear.
If you buy through e-bay they will cost you around $20 shipped.
I bough pair for my mk5 tdi and another pair for vw passat 3.2 b6.
If you need more info contact me (PM).

I'd be interested to see how it looks like on the Gti. If looks ok wouldn't mind fitting some on mine too
