    Hey Again,

Just wanted to know if anyone knew where and what to purchase to turn my yellow driving lights into lovely red ones and my headlights from yellow to white?

    Anyone done something similar?
    Advice?

Highly illegal to have any form of red, blue or purple lighing on the vehicle as they are set aside for transport/emergency use.

For headlights just buy some bulbs that have a higher temperature colour. If you want white I think you would need around 4000K - 5000K.

Have a look at Philips and their range Should be able to buy from SCA or Autobarn.

12V bulbs are usually for passenger and light commercial vehicles. 24V bulbs are usually for heavy commercial vehicles.

Crystal Vision bulbs will appear more whiter than BlueVision Ultra bulbs due to its darker blue tint, but this further reduces light output.

A manufacturer may (or may not) choose to compensate by making the filament burn harder and brighter, but this impacts the bulb's lifespan.

Illegal for a very good reason

What would you think if you saw a car coming towards you with red lights on the front.

Am I on the wrong side, is he on the wrong side, Is he just a complete tosser

Think about what you are going to do.

I would think, 'hey cool, that guy has red driving lights.'

I'm pretty sure even a complete and utter numpty could tell the difference between red driving lights and red and blue flashing LED emergency lights + siren..... Or even tail lights and headlights + red driving lights... Really....?

Well some of the intelligencia in our area thought coloured windscreen washer jets would look nice with nice blue and red LED's on them.

                      Also had blue side lights

Cops thought different and it proved to be an expensive exercise.

ANY red or blue lights facing forward are illegal whether you think they are Ok or not.

Red driving lights will give a great light output and make it so much better to see NOT
