  • Tighten Rear Sway Bar?

Previously (while ago) I was in the talks of getting a front sway bar to even out the body roll but after taking my car in for it's service a few months back I asked the guys to recheck the sway bar to see if everything was ok. Well turned out that the figure 8 rings that hold the bar onto the wheels were put in reversed which mean't the tension wasn't at it's stiffest according to him. He swapped them over and re-tighten the bar and oh my god was it better. I was actually happy with the results.

Now i'm starting to fear that it's going back to normal and the things are loosening up again. My question is should you get the sway bar re-tighten every 6 months or so, or is there better bushes you can get or something that keeps the bar stable? I've gone under and done a manual re-tighten but that didn't do anything and I wasn't sure I was going to damage anything so just wanted to ask what does everyone else do?

    I've got a Whiteline Sway-bar btw.

I'm also interested, as I also have the whiteline s/b.
Bassik, what setting do you have it on?
I have mine just stronger than middle, but this bar has a lot of adjustments (7?)
will likely get it adjusted a bit firmer at next service, but would be good to know what to tell service techs about what to check...
    cheers

Really 7 I've got mine on the stiffest setting. Thought there was only 3 levels.

It tends to weaken over the course of 3-6 weeks I've noticed so would like to know how and what to do to maintain it?

Oh no I definitely noticed a difference after a few months it was amazingly stiffer. A mate from work could even tell after he drove it once.
