This is a list of the current major TPI's regarding issues that have been brought up as I can best remember on the forum.

I have listed the numbers as well as a description. if you have any others, please feel free to add.

200981-22 Rattling noises from engine, 2-3 seconds after Cold Start.

2010883-10 Additional Instructions specific to updating the ECU.

2012623-21 (Supercharger Clutch Sqeal) Brief high-frequency squeaking from engine.

2021116-8 DQ200 DSG general complaints (noises, driving characteristics etc.)

2021120-3 DQ200 DSG Gear change issues, 'clacking' noise.

2021747-9 Permanent DRL deactivation (no longer allowable by law)

2023414-4 Creaking in the rear of passenger compartment

2025520-7 Engine Oil consumption too high.

2026097-7 DQ200 DSG Vibrations, jerking, clattering during 1st-to-2nd gear change.

2026473-2 DQ200 DSG rattling noises from gearbox on poor roads.

2027916-7 Engine constantly rattling after cold start.

2028754-4 37G7 DSG programming update (for specific mechatronic part numbers)

2029374-1 High engine oil consumption

2033189-1 Keyless entry various complaints.

interested in the 2026473-2 DQ200 DSG rattling noises from gearbox on poor roads. As i had mine at the dealers on monday and went for drive with the workshop foreman and he said this is a normal rattle and they all do it. Also mine has used 3 litres of oil in 6000kms

A TPI (Technical product instruction I think it is) is a document released by VAG regarding problems and fixes to cars that they manufacture. All dealership service centre staff have access to them, as does the general public.

This thread is awesome. Been looking for some of these TPI's! My local stealership is useless when it comes to fixing problems that others have clearly said can be fixed with a TPI and now i can provide them with one!

UPDATED!

Yes, there is now a TPI for the sound actuator rattle!

I have added 5 new TPI's to the folder, one of which is for the noise actuator rattle

Mine has started a noise not mentioned in the list. When idling it gives a pinging sound Goes away as soon as revs rise even 100rpm.

Similar to a loose tappet sound


On investigation I can feel pulsing in a pipe across top of r/h side of motor that is in sequence with the pinging


Injectors??? pump?? Fuel line rattle. Strange only started a week ago and doesnt affect the performance

That should just be the direct injection working normally. Perhaps louder than usual due to the colder weather.

Also gavs, which one relates to the sound actuator?
