How to Make the Headlights Turn On Automatically when Unlocked

Is there any way to make the headlights fade on for a short amount of time when the Polo 77TSI is unlocked (like the Golf does)?

I had a 118TSI Comfortline golf as a service rental the other day and it had halogen's and it could do it... Or is it just a Golf thing?

It needs to have the correct electronics module to work. The Polo with Xenons has this newer (more expensive) module. The golf gets this module as standard (like the MFD+). This is how VW save money - by using the old parts on lower spec cars

Its a golf thing. I have a blue motion golf loaner ATM and it has the function. As nomad says you need a polo with xenons, then buy the kufatec kit, then VCDS

Not quite newer/older. Its just the Xenon Polos have a more complex/expensive (from the Xenon transporter) BCM module compared to the other Polos.

Crucially, the whole headlight system of the Xenon Polo is managed electronically by the BCM. Halogen Polos its just routed through the headlight switch, just like a normal light switch.
