Further progress... BCM removed and I have the two "A" & "B" BCM connectors, however now I have to seperate them both into halves as pins 37 and 41 that the Kufatec document advises are in the middle and it is impossible to depin them otherwise.
The biggest pain and time sink that has gone into this so far has been the position... It would be MUCH easier to remove the whole drivers side chair, to attempt this.... my back hurts!!MY12.5 Candy White 5 door Polo GTI. And finished!
Hands are completely worked to the bone, nearly every finger has cuts - but all installed.
The biggest gotcha with this kit has to be wiring up the BCM. Getting to that from under the drivers seat is just an absolute nightmare. If you want to attempt this by yourself I highly reccomend removing the drivers side seat. Getting Pin 43 out of harness B, and 6 out of A is nothing short of impossible!
I have yet to reconnect the BCM to the main A&B harnesses - going to do that shortly though. Hopefully the BCM doesnt explode!MY12.5 Candy White 5 door Polo GTI. Upgrades/Mods = RNS510 H LED, RVC camera, Auto Lights Dash Sound Actuator GTI button, Gavs Footrest(!)

ALL DONE
It works, except now I need someone with a VCDS so I can do the LH/CH & Auto lights coding...!
Thanks muchly to gavs and readerr0r for their help!!
I'll try and write up an english guide for what I had to do for those interested. Realistically if you have the right tools and remove the drivers seat you can do it in 2 hours. If you don't, expect a 10+hr job, lots of sore fingers, and a f**ked back!!Last edited by iigx; 09-06-2013, 11:15 PM.MY12.5 Candy White 5 door Polo GTI. [QUOTE=iigx;958773]Okay crude diagrams to follow but this is how I understand what needs to be done.
4) You need to use the tool (what is it called ?) to remove every single wire from the existing adaptor/cable and wire it into the new cables provided by Kufatec. This would probably take an experienced person 30 minutes - and I assume battery disconnection may be wise.
The cable arrangement should be something like this: (please excuse my mspaint handy work)
Effectively the yellow lines are the lose wires supplied on the new cable, while the blue cables are from the pre-existing cable. The red rectangle is the new cable adaptor that subsequently plugs into the black adaptor/portion of the new cable. The bottom black cable/plug is the power segment of the new cable (im assuming).
did you wire it up like this i thought it went 1 2
