  • Thinking of selling, any idea's on a price?

    I've been having constant thoughts of a B5 RS4 for the past few weeks so thought i'd see what the Pog would be worth?

    6000ks + mods in my sig. No oil burn and no other problems so far (knock on wood).

    I'll probably pull the wrap off too.

    Which B5 RS4 are you looking at? Because both black examples on carsales are lemons and I'll tell you why before you run yourself down the wrong garden path of a lot of $$$ to be spent.

      $6k in mods is equal to probably selling at 3-4k LOWER than a bog stock one, with or without oil consumption issues. Part out, return to as stock as possible and hell, don't even mention the tune until someone buys it or if they ask/seem genuine pre-sale because seeing as the car has balance of warranty, people will steer away because warranty is so much harder to claim.

        Jump on OzAudi if you need more info on the B5 RS4. These cars get around and wouldn't surprise me if one of the guys there can go a brief history of time on them.

          +1000, very unlikely people will like your combo of mods and it sends a message (true or not) that its been thrashed. When I was doing a bunch of looking at BMW e46s on carsales from my previous car, there was a tonne of modded up ones sitting there getting no attention.

          Anywho heres redbooks price guide for MY12.5 3Dr GTIs
          * Private Price Guide $21,800 - $24,300
          * Trade In Price Guide $17,500 - $20,000
          * Average Km 15,000 - 25,000

          So I guess if you presented it stock, the low Ks and Xenons could fetch 26 maybe?

            Hey BLN355,

            If you ever decide to part with your car and try to revert it to stock, I would be interested in the dark OEM tail lights that you got from Germany and altered for RHD purposes

            Goodluck whatever you decide upon.

                I think he should get $26k no problems. There's a lot of shoddy sellers out there trying to sell for a lot more.

                    Seems even VW might not want to buy their own Polo back...

                    I got an email from a local dealer asking me to sell them a car I no longer own, in advance of a big used car sale they were having.

                    I told them I no longer had that car, but I would be interested in selling the Polo GTI...

                    Surprisingly, I never heard back from them!
