      Just installed on mine.
metal ring is to stop a full turn lock so 18inch plus wheels dont rub.
So if normal wheels, dont use them.

I run 17x7 inch wheels. they still fit within the manufacture specifications. So they should be alright then?

I don't understand how the rim size would affect the tyres rubbing...

when you put bigger rims on, you reduce the tyre size to compensate. Maybe more relevant for wider tyre spec's

here by us, the H&R kit is preferred.

Reason being, the Eibach drops the front and back by the same amount, so the car ends up with the rear higher than the front.

With the H&R drop, its staggered, so it brings the front and rear to the same height, which looks better.

Difference be tween the 2 kits is 10mm in the back.

I chose the pro kit because its not uncommon for my car to have 4 people in it or be completely filled with camping gear.

10mm isn't even an accurate tolerance to hold on spring manufacture. VAG have a tolerance on most models of +/-30mm. 10mm could be compensated for by carrying 100kgs in the boot for the first week after installation

Hey did you ever install this kit? I'm getting the VW Lowering kit (30mm front and back like you) and I also have new 17inch alloys with 215/40 tyres. Could you possibly post a picture when you get your wheels and springs on as I'm getting that exact kit (well it's the same as the VW supplied one)!!!
