I'm wondering what this bonnet notch looks like. Would it have a noticeable joint?

Wouldn't you just end up with a weird notch on the bonnet where the badge was?

It says the kit comes with a "bonnet notch filler" which is what I'm wondering about

I don't know that I like the look of it myself. Not for me, that's for sure - but each to their own.

As for the filler you're either going to end up with holes with plastic/rubber plugs, or some sort of putty on there, and you're gonna need a re-spray to make it look seamless.

I'm not expert, and it's also hard to tell with the quality of images they used - and the lack of up-close shorts of the "filler", but I have suspicions the main and side-shot images may have been edited around where the badge should be. Some odd square pixel groups that look like they have come from other parts of the image.
The negative and neutral comments are also something to be concerned about - particularly around images not matching what was sent, and parts not fitting - parts advertised for mkV golfs not fitting etc. Whilst there's a lot of positive notes as well, I didn't see any say the parts fitted well, which may mean they have given feedback before attempting to fit the part </cynicism>

Been around for years and yes, the bonnet notch is always visible unless you get it properly filled with a welded in piece.

yeh i thought those images looked abit suspect. seems like it definitely wouldnt be worth the effort or the money for something that im probably not even gonna like
