Polo Bluetooth Unit Problems

Hey Everyone,

Just recently I've found that the Bluetooth unit in my 77TSI (to the left of the RCD510) is not turning on when the car is started anymore. The only thing I can recall doing different lately is that I've plugged my phone into the MDI to play music lately which I don't do often (I usually use the SD Card).

Do you think the unit is faulty or is it a known issue for these Bluetooth units to play-up when the MDI is used? I thought I read somewhere that the MDI can sometimes affect that detachable Bluetooth unit.

Polo Bluetooth Unit Problems

Generally I have found that one potential issue comes from if you plug the phone in before Bluetooth has connected. Wait until Bluetooth has connected, then plug the phone in.

Yeah, went out and restarted the car about three hours later and it started perfectly! I think it was the fact that I had plugged the MDI in before the Bluetooth had connected!
