Hey All,

I'm seriously considering getting some new wheels for my GTI. Just wondering if there is anyone interested in a set of 4 month old 17" Detroits (yes Detroits, it's an MY13).

I'm just looking to see if there are any people interested at this point as I haven't even decided which wheels I would get and no idea what my Detroits are worth. Hence why i'm not posting this in the parts for sale section...yet.

Also, anyone have an idea on what the VW Motosport wheels cost and where you can get them (other than VW dealer)? I rather like them.

Will they fit my MY12 Polo GTI? How much are you wanting? I'm looking for wheels a little more sporty than the Denvers I curently have.

They should fit an MY12. Not aware of any changes between the model years that would mean the wheels are incompatible.

Really not sure what they are worth which is why i was sort of fishing. Do you have a price in mind?

They'll fit any 6R and 9N Polo, Mk4 Golf and Bora

The Denvers sold for about $400 but the Detroits in 5x100 are still quite rare and desirable I'd say 600-800 easy.

Yes of course they will fit but they're hardly any more sporty than the Denvers.

They are literally the normal 6R GTI denvers with some black paint and a machined face. So 17x7.0 with an ET of 46-48 (can't remember exact number)

I imported these wheels for Reece - only 2 sets in Australia that we know of, I've brought both of them over from Europe. He's spent months refurbing them to 100% perfect condition and they're going to have a very lucky new owner soon!
