Polo Gti my 12.5 Bluetooth help

Hi everyone, I have ordered my new polo gti my 12.5 And trying to get my head around things so I can order a few things to install when it arrives in he next couple of weeks.

I am trying to get my head around the the whole Bluetooth thing. I hate the mini screen and I understand I can swap that for a vow cradle or a bury 9 cradle, the bury I would need recode.

If do use any cradle can I use the mfd like in the golf GUI with 9 w7.

That brings me to the next question what system does the polo use I had read that it has two systems and if you recode you could use the 9w7 which is also installed but not the main system used?

Or have I got the whole story wrong. Any help would be great

The touchscreen acts as a separate bt system. Remove it or replace it with a cradle and then it'll act like the 9W7 yes.

Doing to VCDS coding also lets you use it without either the cradle or touchscreen too.

So it is not the 9w7 and if not what system does it use..

Theres a million different codes for the BT systems. They stopped making 9W7 units a while ago, shops just call the new units that because thats what people know. It'll be the same if not better (Shows artist/track for BT audio streaming and has Play/Pause/Prev/Next)

Yes, hence the same if not better line

Yes and the standard rcd510, it's all exactly like the golf

Check out the thread by AC74 re the cradle. Really helpful stuff. He has purchased a holder that fits right in, without requiring any recoding etc..

Thanks for your help. That would be great, I did the same thing myself and then you feel like to writing it up again so it takes like two days to do a post.

By the way you would not be from out Mernda way would you .. seen a car like your with the same sepc at the supermarket the other .. I was driving our Golf GTI and I think the owner thought I was a stalker because I was looking to much at his car
