Just noticed that the door seal on the GTI has almost worn through on the inside drivers door.

Mine is 12 months old with 6000kms and only noticed today when washing it.
Just showing allot more wear on one part of the rubber than anywhere else.

Ok well my family has collectively done just over 55,000 kms since we've bought it and we live on a 3 km stretch of very bumpy, dusty dirt road so I'd think that the door seals would be having a hard time with all that dust being so abrasive, but so far nothing at all.
Maybe your affected door was badly aligned at the factory, or has it been repaired and put on badly?
In any case, take it to your VW dealer, explain the situation and they will probably replace it for you.Alex Aescht
