Convenience Window Opening/Closing

Convenience window opening/closing (via the key remote) is mentioned in the manual on page 53.

Is it meant to be active?

It's no go in my MY12.5 GTI.

It's a feature I use quite often in my Mk VI Golf and I was a little surprised yesterday when nothing happened with the Polo when holding down the unlock button.

Anyone else?

Mine works, hold for about 3 seconds and they all go done. Release to stop. The same for closing. Would not surprise me if its turned of as a lot of us have items that work out of the box but others don't on cars that are identical and vice versa. May need to find someone with a VCDS to code it for you but It defiantly does do it.

standard feature on a polo tsi, so i would assume a gti would as well

dealer probably forgot to activate some codes, and they should not charge you to do so as its a standard feature

The positions of all windows needs to be set. Wind a window down all the way and hold for 3 secs. Then wind the window up and hold for 3 secs. The window will then go up and down automatically on one touch. Do this for all the windows and then try on the key again. I had to do this when I blew a fuse and the positions of the windows was lost.

Mine too
