Very easy to swap. Just remove the plastic capping above the boot that holds the headliner up and just reach in with a shifter. My mistake was buying a 9n shark fin so the connector was different but I'm handy with a crimper so was a piece of cake
Can you share with us where to buy the shark fin from?
Thanks

The Current/New 2012/2013 Grille would be a good choice as its a polished black finish.
Got my brother going to Germany for business so he will be bringing that back for me
So the 2012/2013 front TSI grille, does it still have the chrome centre? Is it just the outer edges that are the gloss black? I'm assuming the earlier models had a Matt black finish otherwise exactly the same?

Are ther any issues regarding the H&R 35/50 springs?
Clearances for drive shafts, tyres etc.
Stability control affected?
Standard shock absorbers OK?
How is the ride quality?
Who fitted your springs?
Kind regards
VEEEUU
the tyres and rims all clear, driveshafts too.
none of the aids (traction/abs etc.) are affected.
the factory shocks make it very jumpy. takes a small bump to throw you up. the ride feels like erm.. a gokart haha not the most comfortable.
i fitted the springs myself in my driveway. dont take me wrong though, ive loved the springs from day 1 more and more. but i like the stiff-coilover feeling
They are 18x9 et35 with 215/30 kumhos. Contrary to popular belief, they fit somehow haha
Thanks for the info. Still hard to believe that wheel is 18X9 and is working without rubbing, looks great. What kumhos are they, seems hard to get, pretty low profile too. Well done

Thank you for a very quick and informative response.
Not sure if I understand your mention of coilvers (you like them). Do you mean that you have replaced the H&R springs with coilovers? And if that is so, are the images of your Polo as fitted with coilovers or H & R springs?
Also, what are the wheel/tyre sizes you have fitted?
I have a set of 18x8 replica Audi A8 wheels left over from my Golf 4. Stud pattern OK but not sure about the offset?

I think what he means is he likes the ride quality of the H&R springs. It gives a firmer ride like coilovers do.
Read back in the thread, he mentions what rims size, offset and tyre he uses.
A 215/35 on 9" wide rims is some serious stretch.

They are just the springs. I love them, but a lot of people disagree because comfort is almost completely sacrificed.
I don't know what model kumho my tires are but they are crap and they look **** when stretched. Just just have an ugly sidewall and the compound is hard.
VEEEUU, what offset are the a8 reps?
That's a 9" wheel. Try them on without a tire to make sure it clears everything. I'm not sure if 225 would be okay or not though. This is assuming you'll have h&r 35 55 springs fitted.
Put it this way, I can just squeeze my index finger between the tire and guard. 225 might close that gap too much.
I haven't yet owned coilovers so I wouldn't be able to give you a decent comparison. Sorry mate
