Polo GTI problems ?

Hi, currently looking to change the wifes car from a 2009 Audi A3 to the Polo GTI, have been reading through the forums and to be honest there seems to be a few common problems.
1) Oil consumption issue, has this been rectified with the current model ?
2) DSG issues, are these common ?

No, neither have been fixed, no you will not get any joy about it dealing with anyone who works for VW.
