removing exterior door handles

i need help with this,i want to paint them in candy white,but don't know how to take them off,

Not 100% sure as I havn't done it but I had a quick look at my door and i'd assume the little rubber grommet that is in line with the door handle on the inside edge of the door gets removed and there will be a screw or bolt in there holding the handle in place.

you take that little rubber grommit of and you need a special screwdriver or little hook and you pull the plastic thing towards you and the handle will release, randomly just did a gti today at work
