6R seatbelt pretentioners need to be replaced, any experience anyone?

Does anyone have any experience in replacing the seatbelt pretentioners?

Does anyone have any experience in replacing the seatbelt pretentioners in a Polo? I have a 2010 6R Polo Trendline. I don't know if the recent models are the same or similar in this regard. Perhaps someone knows if the computer needs to be reset or replaced. Any help would be appreciated.

It's part of the airbag system I reckon. So disconnecting them will trip a fault unless you disconnect the battery first.

I'd be prepared to have someone scan the car afterwards.

Not if it has already thrown an error. You need to have the error cleared for everything to work hunky dory again.

If no, surely you could get them replaced at the dealership at VGA's expense if they were faulty?
