Any one hooked up a boost gauge to their Polo and where did you put it?

Hey fella's just trying to get an idea of where one would place a boost gauge in the Polo. Im thinking about getting one to keep an eye on things but im lost for somewhere to put it without it being too obvious to prying eyes and im not to interested in putting holes in interior parts.

If anyone has any pics of their's that'd be great.

That'd be a great idea having it in the MFD display. So Kufatec did something similar? Whats the red highline MFD?

It's called E-MFA, my friend has it on his MK5 GT Sport. It's pretty nifty.

I actually think the Kufatec is a rebranded Polar FIS+, who are slowly getting it to work on white dot screens.

I haave also been looking for a OBD monitor and where to put it. I came across Liquid Gauge. A friend of mine has it and it is very useful!:

You can buy the screen without the vent-holder so you can fabricate something by yourself

Its basically a unit that plugs into your harness... then you add some coding using VCDS, and bang, you got a whole bunch more info in your MFD.

I'm still trying to figure out where the CAN Gateway is on the Polo (thats where you plug in the bridge cable). From what I can see in EKTA, it's not anywhere around the steering wheel, where the BCM, fuses and relays live. I *think* it's behind the glovebox.

It might be in the same place as the Golfs.. under the wiper motor on the right side...

So you would need to remove your rain tray etc to get to it...

Ok, the diagnostic data bus unit J533 is mounted on the A pillar behind the glove box. That is for LHD vehicles according the the manual.

However, the other electronics manual shows that there are 2 connectors going to unit J519 which says that it controls all the onboard functions like auto wipers, one touch windows etc...

Which one is the can gateway is anyone's guess...
