Do you mean it starts rolling backwards? I have the Hill Start Assist not kick in every now and then - I'm usually just cautious when I take off, and it's not enough of an issue for me to contact the dealer specifically but I'll definitely be mentioning it at the 15,000km service.
Since the DSG is a manual box I suspect it may be a bit trickier to stop any rollback like you can with a traditional auto. Any other owners have similar experiences?
Yeah, same thing. When on slight hill and u dont really give it enough, DSG sometimes lets go and you roll alittle. Its just the design of the DSG i wouldnt be too worried just be careful u dont roll back on anyone i guess

Yep now the long wait for a part from Singapore but have a new shape Golf GTI for a loan car so not all bad.
Still don't like having a car off the road with 4000kms on the clock,

Load of crap. It took them 4-5 days to get my Mechatronics AND DSG replacement units all the way from Germany and then was a one day turnaround on the servicing. He'll be fine.
They also won't give you a GTI Loan car. I've never known a Dealer to give a Premium loaner car unless they've really done you wrong. You'll either get a low end Polo, Golf, or Jetta. I've known people to get Jetta TDI's, Polo TDI's, and Golf 90TSI's so far.
Was told the part was ex Singapore and expect a two week wait and the dealer in in NZ and has indicated he has a second hand car 2010 GTI I can use on the lot.
Had a 09 Golf GTI overnight when the diagnosed the issue.
