Indicator Fault

Hi there, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

When turning left the left hand indicator on the dash flashes once normally then fast after that, the bulb malfunction lamp also comes on.
Now I'm an Auto Electrician and normally that would be a sign of a blown bulb.
Not at all, the three indicators on the exterior all flash at normal speed, while the one on dash flashes fast.
If you cycle the key it will sometimes rectify itself.
Car is now back at the dealer for the third time, last time a module was replaced, this time, who knows??
Any ideas guys??

Sorry to hear mate.
Now if you are an auto electrician, I reckon you will have more luck tracking down the issue than the apprentice at VW!

it def sounds like a break in the circuit somewhere...?

First thing chris, VCDS, see if it has thrown a fault code other than a bulb light error. You're the auto sparky so you would understand more about the zappy stuff than the rest of us....

I had this error a few times after hiring a trailer; I took it in to VW who cleared the error code and all works fine since.

Waiting to hear from dealership today re software updates bushnut.
