You're going to poo on a Polo R WRC?!

vwwater's news section has some irl photos of the car in the news section - looks good. I was expecting a bit more 0-100 from the 2.0T though, really you'd get the same performance from tuning the 1.4. Still not 100% sure if it's FWD or AWD since vwwater just says "on the front axle".

Edit: Re-read it, defs FWD according to vwwater

apparently Gavs has stated that out of 2500 cars to be produced none will be that of the RHD variant.

Yep, My GTI would be in that performance ball park already, with a TBE it would match it, if not better it. So long as the clutch actuators do their thing properly....

I reckon better it since the supercharger provides instant torque as opposed to the laggy turbo charger

                yep

                From Autocar:

The Polo R WRC costs €33,900 (£27,320) in Germany, but the sad news is that production is limited to left-hand-drive cars, meaning none are earmarked for the UK.

The fine print = weight includes 68kg driver, 7kg of luggage and 90% tank of fuel.
                  That's about 100kg
