Getting our new Focus done this Friday by the same guy.
If you need his number let me know.
I'm deciding between 35% and 30%. How is 30% for driving during the night? Is it much of a struggle?
I had a look at 35% on some cars and thought it was too light during the day.

Not having a good look at the regulations, I'm told the absolute legal limit is 30% but once the tint is applied it may end up being under 30% which means it would not pass roadworthy.

Coming from a car which had 5% that was dark and impractical.

I'm running 15% rears and 30% front, IMO on a white car it is perfect. Bear in mind if you have a dark interior, you probably won't need to be as dark. For comfort and privacy, I'd go for 30% IMO. 35% is too light, again IMO.

No probs at all at night. Have always had 30% tint in WA, Qld and now here in Vic, never had a roadworthy issue.

As this is about tint I will comment. I have a Mk3 so nothing to do with a polo, but I just got my tint done and went for something completely different, I decided upon the "Cherry Red Fader" Looks fantastic only down side is at night if I want to make sure there is no one coming at an intersection I have to put my windows down. Minor sacrifice for a fantastic look and amount of temperature difference.
I'll include a photo for you.
As a guideline it cost me 400 to get all windows done as well as included old tint removal. Hit up Trublu tinting at Sumner Park if you need it done. Truman did a fantastic job!

Has anyone got pics of a car with 35% or 30% tint?
Actually Sports pack on non-GTI's (in Aus) is 35% rear and back windows only and they have standard tint as well (MY13 brochure) has anyone got a picture of a Sports pack TSI to compare the front/rear windows?

            Edit:
Actually maybe this is a pic of the differences?
If so then the fronts are nowhere near 35 - they'd be lucky to be 20-25%
