  • front lip spoiler/postage problem

Not sure where i should have placed this so i just went car specific.

Im trying to get a front lip spoiler from the UK. The cost of the lip is small ($150 aus)
at first the said no due to the cost. i was thinking even if its the same price as the item id be happy,
but after i pressed there quote from inquiring before me was $500-1000 us
    surly this cant be right.

has anyone shiped a large item from the UK for a reasonable cost? dont car if it takes a month.
its a large item but very light as its just plastic would weigh no more then 1kg.

    Recomendations please.

Just bought a 9N3 Bluemotion Lip over from the UK for free - it's called 'checked baggage'

That price sounds right - the size with amount to a huge cubic weight. Your best bet is finding someone locally who imports them - assuming it's the LCR lip you're talking about - there's heaps around.

Na i dont think that can be right at all,

I just bought a whole reiger kit from germany and it was only 95 euro to post including tracking. It did take a month to get here but thats stupid costs.

If your concerned I suggest asking which freight company they run through and get quotes with others rather than them leading you on. Hope that helps

That's cheap, my freight forwarder quoted $2000 due to the cubic weight. The packaging is massive so it cost heaps, even if it does weigh only 3kgs.

I've gone to all the sellers in Europe of spoiler lips and it's all the same. Hence why I am sourcing carbon fibre and making my own out of a mould I am making

Sadly UK postage has gone up massively the past year or so, Germany not so much. Buy before they realise LOL
FWIW, the USA no longer offers seamail, so even that cheaper option is dead to us now, canada still offers it, but they seem to be fighting with the UK on who can charge the most per parcel. sigh.

I bought the one off eBay from that seller.

It cost 50 euros but I persuaded them to cut it in the centre so cheap shipping and I've just got to put it together.

Let me know if you need more info!
