  • DSG GTi high idle in manual

Fellow GTi owners - when you're in manual mode - is your idle rpm higher than when it is in auto mode?

Our Golf also has DSG and the idle rpm is the same in auto and manual but my Polo GTi idles at about 1100 in manual and around 700 in auto.

Recall reading about this before on the equivalent Golf - pretty sure it's normal.
Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

We have a 118TSi Golf DSG like you and it doesn't idle higher in manual - why should it on a Polo?

It thats the same RPM as putting it in Sport mode. Makes sense that manual mode would be 'sporty' in a GTI.
