    Hi all,

when i got my Vw Polo GTI i put on the H&R 25/40mm springs and got 18" wheels which looked great but i soon found out the driveability suffered quite a bit so i have decided to go back to 17" and im torn between the following choices (i know everyone has different tastes but just like a overall view as to which way i might lean) :

    Rezax350

    Euro 6

    OZ Futura

    Euro 15

well thats about it so thanks in advance for the input.

PS Gavs does get extra credit for his opinion as i see him as the guru here on the forum

      Euro 15 gets my vote.

Can I ask what the problem was with driveability with your configuration?

I've had the same set up since 1000km on the car and never confronted issues even on the long drives I've done to QLD & SYD return. Of course if you hit a huge hole you're going to feel it but overall its been a good experience for me and I'm happy with 18s. I'm even changing my wheels shortly and staying with 18s.

I don't wanna come off blunt but none... I dislike all of them. I'm more interested in knowing how the ride comfort was with springs and 18"

If I had to choose one of them then I would stick with stock.

Personally I don't think they suit a Polo. Dish is only passable if you are slammed in a Polo, and if you have low offset which we can't do sadly .

Look at what Golfs do because they have similar lines to the Polo which will give you a better idea because there are a lot of wheels out there which can be ordered in

I'd say any of the ones above would be hell harder!

It would be absurd to think that people potentially make wheel decisions based on whether its easy to clean or not. On that logic you may as well throw on a set of 80s centrelines.

Compliment the car first and foremost.

Lower springs + heavier wheels => higher spring rate (regardless of what gavs has been told) + greater unsprung mass
= underdamped response => jouncy, skitterish ride with attendant loss of grip on non-billiard table surfaces.

IT isnt so much the config more the roads are piss poor and you can get caught out quite easily and mess up the wheels.
That being said i was looking at getting coilovers(Bilsteins) and keeping the 18s.

BTW i love your wheels and even had a look to see if i could get some here in Europe but to no avail.
