New numbers on MFD ie 280

I've just noticed a random number on my mfd when I start the car. 280, although after a couple of days it is now 279. It goes off after a few seconds.
Anybody know what it might be?

I thought service as well. But only have 1000km to go for 30k so service due early next week.
I'll ask the dealer when I take it in.
Need the dsg software looked at too. Went to 'no gear' last week in slow traffic.
Also touch screen radio brightens about 4 times in a hundred kay drive, as in each morning on the way to work.
"the ring" music? Not nice around the wife!
