wheel sizes?. What the standard sized wheels and tyres measure? Same as Golf GTI??

Just wondering if anyone has fitted the Golf GTI 18" wheels to their Polo GTI?

Is the fitment the same as the Golf GTI?
ie dimensions, nuts, tyres, etc...?

It's not a straight-forward fit.

Polo wheels have a PCD of 5 x 100 mm.

Golf wheels have a PCD of 5 x 112 mm.

so the standard 17" GTI wheels on the Polo GTI, (Boston I think??) that look the same as the Golf GTI are actually different then?

Yes.

The Boavista, Denver and Detroit wheels for the 6R Polo are 7.0 J x 17 ET46.

The Denver and Detroit wheels for the 1K and 5K Golf are 7.5 J x 17 ET51 or 7.5 J x 18 ET51.

The Boston wheel for the 5N Tiguan are 6.5 J x 17 ET33 or 7.0 J x 17 ET43.
