How would i be able to tell if they havent removed the Shipping rubbers? I've been driving the car for 8 months, I doubt it would be that? I hope not lol! I went to the dealer after 2000kms and mentioned how hard it was but they just said that's how it's supposed to be but no one looked at it.. I've just left it to see if they would wear in a bit but after 11000kms still the same! that's why I wanted to see if anyone else thought the same way by starting this forum!

Don't laugh.. I had a mate of mine who bought a new VZ commodore and they forgot to take the shipping blocks of wood out of the suspension. Took about 6-8 months for them to realise after numerous complains of ride compliance (or lack of it) annd fix it...

Interesting about the suspension firmness, I have the 'comfort pack' and the suspension ride while compliant reminds me of a mattress on occasion especially during direction change. I had a standard set of bilsteins in the 6n1 which were perfect, nice flat cornering without too much harshness and that was with stock springs. I was already thinking about the OEM sports suspension for the 6r if I could find a set someone was selling, so if you do want to offload it, let me know, I hope it would pair nicely with the comforts 16"'s

You could always see what Bilstein has to offer. I know the bilstein shocks i bought for the 6n1 were only about $75 a corner @ trade price but check out their online catalog Online Catalogue it lists a myriad of options.
My Car(s): 2011 6R TSI Comfortline (Pepper Silver),
If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)

coils with that kind of adjustment level will set you back a minimum of around $1200 for a good set, you unless you want to drive low really bad with max comfort dont do it and just go for springs

Well Well Well! Guess what the dealers forgot to remove! I've been so busy with working late I hadnt really acted on the issue, so tonight I decided to have a bit of a look and noticed that the delivery stops/rubbers ARE still there! I jacked the car up and removed them fingers crossed they've done no major damage

Did you take photos before removing them? Take them to the dealer and demand a firm explanation, and confirmation that this wouldn't do any long term damage to your car.

I didn't take photos but I have kept the stoppers to show them because i definitely want them to check the car over! My brother just recently started working for Toyota in their pre delivery department so I had a look (based on my curiosty from the recent feedback on this forum) and called him over to see if how easy they would be to take off! They were that easy its silly they were missed in the first place!

I'd like to say i am surprised but I'm honestly not. You are not the first customer to have this happen.

Get it in writing, I don't believe that it will cause damage but you never know, there might be metal fatigue that has started to set in with the stiffness in the springs....

Look on the bright side though, your dampers are still going to be fairly new

It's appalling they missed that. It could quite have easily led to an accident at some time in the future.

Now... how does the car handle and ride now?
