Do you find 1.4 twincharged GTI engine noisy , best way i can describe it like tappet type noise ?

Standing next too my ride i came to my attention that the engine is noisy , anyone have similar experience ?

You mean when it's parked and idle? Yeah mine also does that

Yeah its a noisy little bugger almost sounds like a diesel lol

Probably the injectors you can hear. When the bonnet is up they are loud.

Car has only done 2400 km , so the car is untouched .

My problem started at 800km and now at 2500km later with 2new fuel pump and still makes the tapping sound each time I accelerate.faulty batch of fuel pumps as i am waiting for answers and have suggested they send German techs to retify ASAP.just wonder if it's similar.cheers tay

Mine started to sound like a sewing machine after getting the piston rings changed. Does it everytime I accelerate between 2000-3000rpms (even with slightly throttle) on idle I don't have any noises.

Only loud from the outside when the engine is cold. Different kind of loud if I'm in Sport mode

Other then It sounding like a little beef cake I can't say mine sounds noisy. I can say that on idle it does tend to gurgle a tad but I find that it's just cold. I try not to push until oil temp is at least 90

Lol checked the oil lately that could make things noisy?

I had the oil light on after 1500kms.

Yeah i constantly check my oil and keep it topped up PITA , the noise when idling i believe to be tappet or injector noise .

If a rotary engine used as much oil as my VW it would be all over the news yet VW get away with it because its a piston engine , maybe a letter to the Editors of Wheels and motor magazine pointing out the oil issue would not go astray .
