I'm assuming this will be done on "in stock" cars pre-delivery?

Should be part of the updated software that the dealership loads on pre-delivery. If they load the correct software to begin with.....

Just got my 77 tsi back from the DSG software update and the actuator fix. I noticed that the gear changes doesn't struggle during start-stop traffic and when the revs are low (<1k RPM). Before it used to shudder a bit in traffic, especially if there is an incline as well. Most pleasing is the rattle from the engine bay is gone now!

Update done. Think it's for the better. Feels better at stop / start traffic and MUCH more responsive kicking back a few gears when highway driving.

I also think S mode isn't a 'mean' as it used to be changing gears

I had my update about a month ago now, had the actuator fix and DSG software updated...

In traffic the DSG does not clunk anymore. overall in all modes the DSG is smarter and more pleasing to drive hard.

Actuator fix has gone well too, and noticed with upgraded engine software that if you go for a decently quick launch at lights etc that the engine will double blip and launch harder than it ever did. think this may help the turbo spin up quicker, ive noticed no ill effects this double blip plus it sounds cool

Placement of my 2 updates are stickers on the drivers side panel, near where the wiring for door electrics comes out.

So can you tell me, please - what upgrades are they: what are their ID's? ... I'd like to be able to pass this info on to one or both of the two SA service locations who so far haven't been able to acknowledge the existence of, let alone eliminate the massive acceleration lag on my twin turbo DSG7 132kw van!

We are in the Polo section, so I would asume that the Polo DSG would have a different updates than the DSG in your T5 van. Ask someone in the Van section.

Just got mine updated today; much the same as others I notice it is moving around gears a bit more freely especially when accelerating onto the highway.

Just as a note to others in the same boat, the dealership did the upgrade for free, I just went in booked it in and got it done; so there is no need to wait till the next service.

Thanks guys, just rang dealer, hasn't been done and happy to do it anytime. Just have to find the time now!

Upgraded the software today and yes it does feel much better as others have stated. I didn't think it would so noticeable but it is.

My car is in getting its 1st service today and they advised there is a Software upgrade (No DSG for me though) plus the Turbo spacer, also fixing the engine bay rattle.

I can't remember what the Service campaign number was for this. I guess I'll see what changes when I pick it up?
