Disconnected battery, now windows won't go up/down with remote
Not 100% relatvie to your query but once the battery has been dissconnected the safety feature for having fingers caught in the window is de-activated so you will have to pull the window level up and hold it for 5 seconds to re-activate it i believe.
Happens to me on the Golf as per team_v's comment, I find it works again after using the window switches a few times on the next drive. You also notice that quick press doesn't fully open/close the windows until you've done this.
With the window fully up, hold the down button to lower the glass, and continue to hold the button down for 3 seconds. Then do the same when you raise the glass. This allows that door's control module to detirmine the window motor's end positions. You'll need to do this for each window via the switchs on the driver's door.
Umai Naa, do you know if for the key function up/down on th eremote still need to be programmed through the key being turned in the driver's door lock and held in lock/unlock for it to reset itself, ala Mk4 Golf?
Thanks guys!
I got in and wound the drivers window all the way down, then hit down a few times, wound it up and hit up a few times. Did it on all the windows and it works again!
