Do not speak to Ramspeed, they're time wasters and will gut you for money (also they have officially lost their license for selling ABT so you won't be getting a factory based warranty).

          Talk to Tunehouse mate.

Um...Hate to disagree, but it certainly does "fart"!

Just picked our new one up yesterday and it sounds great!

Ok, so not as great as a Golf R or S'rocco R thats for sure, but still has that distinct GTI sound!

Guess its a matter of opinion...
Picked mine up Friday and was only comparing it to my Golf GTI.
Agree, the Polo certainly sounds great....had a great run yesterday...Warburton - Marysville....Black Spur....plenty of twistes

Going to have to take yours for a drive tigger if I'm up in sydney because it must be the only one in the world that does it from the factory! Unless it's now programmed into the software for the sound generator in the dash....

Gti Mk6 - Love to get your review/comparo on the Mk6 vs. Polo Gti seeing as you own both!

Hail - I spearfish but I'm not hardcore (some of the blokes I go with however....) . It's been wayyyyy too long since I last went out but hopefully I'm going this weekend.

search the miltek website for th epolo gti/fabia vrs exhaust. Or, if you want locally developed, I would suggest waiting for the Viezu Racing exhaust that is due some time soon...

im really new at this all and just want a good sounding "farting " bubbly Exhaust. (that dose not drown)

miltek has a write up about it sounds like the right exhaust for what i want.

                          2011 Polo GTi 1.4 TSI

would you say the miltek system is the best, would you recommend me getting it ?
what could i expect to pay in Melbourne for the system for my 2011 polo GTI (part + fitments) ?
officer i promise its a stock car.... look my windows are not even tinted.

Out of curiosity would that Milltek Cat Back exhaust be a negative to performance without a tune?

For the Milltek system, don't expect change out of around $1700-$2000 depending on the shop, plus budget on a couple of hours labour to fit.

What it sounds like you are after is the ignition cut fart along with the crackle of a good over-run. To do this, I'm not sure the milltek or any system with a rear muffler will do it because you have the turbo exiting through the dump pipe straight into a catalytic converter. It will stiffle alot of the noise. BUT, that being said, without actually having heard a milltek in person, especially a full turbo-back setup, I can't be sure.

Negative to performance?! The one thing forced induciton engines need is breathing and by adding better breathing will only benefit the engine. There is a good thread in the 9N section regarding the intake side of the breathing regarding intercoolers and the affect that a good breathing intercooler setup can have on reducing stress on the turbo. Much the same as the exhalation or exhaust side. You don't want to build back pressure in a forced induction car, you want that exhaust getting out once it has done it's job of spooling the turbo.

While being far more scientific than that (you can goo too big and slow down the exhaust gasses with wrong headers etc) we are only talking turbo back here.

Way back in 1976 my Mini (genuine one) used to do this on overrun with the standard exhaust. The best was when I "unexpectedly" went down Macquarie Pass late on a summer's evening with the sound reverberating through the bush. I was returning from Canberra and just decided to go down the Illawarra Hwy on the spur of the moment. Never managed to have this with any other car I have had.
