RCD310 and Media-in 6R Polo GTI

Hi Guys

I have gone and completely confused myself. I'm looking for an interface to use a usb flash drive with my RCD310. Now I see that the accessories on the vw site have the "Media-in" and then a range of cables for that, one of which is a normal 3.5mm audio jack. Now I already have this jack next to my power socket. Does this mean I still need the Media-in interface and then the USB Cable aswell ? Or do I just need the usb cable ??? Arrrrgh. Please help.....

If you want to play songs direct from a USB stick then you need the MDI (Media Device Interface), its usually an optional extra. If you have it, you'll see a odd looking port in your glove box. Buy a MDI -> USB cable and it'll work. If you dont have that option on your car then you'll need an MP3 player to play the songs through the 3.5mm Aux in, or you can get the MDI fitted by a dealer.
