RCD310 > RCD510 Successful!

Hi All,

I didn't realise it would be that easy, just upgraded to an RCD510 i got off ebay. Works perfectly!. Anyone thinking of upgrading their 2010/2011 VW to a RCD510 don't worry its the easiest upgrade you'll ever do.

Didn't even bother with disconnecting the battery (probably should have), but as soon as i connected the main cable everything kicked into live... Awesome!

Now i'm just waiting for my tuning kit from John @ DNA Australia and my Polo 1.2TSI will be a little beast

Question: RCD310 > RCD510 upgrade - does it improve the sound (via standard speakers) or just brings extra features, like larger touch screen? I am considering this upgrade, but am primarily interested in improving the sound, I find that RCD310 sound very average with music.

The RCD310 is the same size as the 510, so you dont lose a storage compartment. The RCD210 on the other hand...

Ah yes, I stand corrected. So, you get a touchscreen, that's about it
