Does anyone know if the struts require a torx socket? or is it just a standard nut? Too use to jap cars

Do you mean top or bottom? The bottom needs a strut spreader thingy like the previous polo and Mk4 golf, the top is different to the 9N3 polo (gone back to the Mk4 style setup) and the top nut is just a hex nut. Don't really feel like pulling apart the cowl in my engine bay during lunch so I'm not sure what the top of the strut looks like....sigpic
