MDI dealer fitted?

Hi all..
I have been quoted 600 for MDI in my new polo GTI. I saw the kit for 200 on ebay. Is it advisable to buy that and fitted at other place than dealer? If yes, any suggestion in Melbourne, preferably south east for after market installation?

I havent looked at it thoroughly..found this

but it doesnt say POLO...so not sure..

That looks like a fit somewhere else, not in the glovebox,
I've seen this:Golf mk5 mk6 mdi glove box kit rns510 rcd510 rcd310 | eBay But probably need some advise from someone that actually has one of these in their cars

It's designed for the centre console on the golf (or so I think). You can remove "the guts" and install in the glove box. Search the forum, there's been posts about it before.
